Animal Nuisance Complaints

Lake Minterwood is located within an Animal Control Zone. You should direct animal complaints, principally dogs barking or roaming, directly to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

Emergencies such as aggressive and threatening animals currently loose, injured domestic animals, and animal cruelty/abuse in progress should be reported to 911.

For non-emergency situations, you can file a complaint online here on Pierce County's website or call 253-287-4455 or 800-562-9800. If directed to leave a message, please include your name, address, phone number, the nature of your complaint and the animal owner’s address, if known. After making a complaint, you may be contacted to obtain a statement or additional information.
